You probably know by now that sunbeds and solariums do NOT provide a safe tan and that commercial tanning units are now banned from January 1, 2015 in New South Wales, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, Tasmania and South Australia.

Proven dangers of sunbeds or solariums

• Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from solariums can increase your risk of developing skin cancer.
• Solariums can also cause eye damage and skin damage such as sunburn, irritation, redness and swelling.
